Information on Funeral Arrangements

It is always important to be prepared and armed with the knowledge on how to handle the situation when somebody passes away.

The information provided by us are meant to assist you in making the right decisions.




 

1. Do not panic and contact us immediately at 90069632 for our advice.

2. Obtain a Certificate of Cause of Death (CCOD) from a doctor. it is required for us to move the deceased.

3. Register the death by converting the CCOD to a Death Certificate and Burial/Cremation Permit.

4. Registration of death can be done at any Neighbourhood Police Posts and the Registry of Births and Deaths (RBD) counter at the hospital.

5. Upon registering the death, we will collect the body for embalming.

6. We will then meet up with you and your family members to discuss the funeral arrangements.


** For unnatural deaths, the body will be moved to the Singapore General Hospital Mortuary- Centre of Forensic Medicine for a Coroner's Inquiry.
The Inquiry will be performed before the death certificate can be issued and the body released for final disposition.


*Note:

Always remember to bring the I/Cs of both the deceased and the informant who is registering the death.
